Biography

Guy L. Black has been a practicing attorney in the Provo/Orem area and Utah County for thirty years, primarily in the areas family law and divorce. He is uniquely qualified to handle the financial aspects of divorce matters because of his training in finance and accounting and his years of experience handling complex family law cases. He trained as an attorney locally at Brigham Young University, J. Reuben Clark Law School, in Provo, Utah where he was a member of the prestigious BYU Law Review and Journal of Public Law, and where he authored articles published in each of those journals. He graduated from law school cum laude for his academic performance. Prior to law school, Mr. Black received a bachelor’s degree in Business Management with an emphasis on Finance and a minor in accounting from BYU. He is currently admitted to the Utah State Bar as a member in good standing, and is also admitted to practice before the Utah Court of Appeals and the Utah Supreme Court, and has represented clients before each of those appellate panels. He speaks and reads fluent English and Spanish.
